How To Choose A Chiropractor

I’m Dr. Lindsay Mack at Advanced Chiropractic Life Center, and I am going to go over how you can best choose a chiropractor for you.

There are so many different types of chiropractors and techniques and ways that they see the body and their perspective and views and goals.

They’re just different types of people.

What I want to do is help you navigate how you find a chiropractor who’s a really good fit for you.

Some things to know about yourself, too, are what your goals are.

This is important, like knowing more about you and what you like.

Do you have more of a bigger lens and viewpoint in your health?

Are you wanting to make sure that all your systems are healthy and working well, and nothing is underlying going on underneath, or do you just want a certain part fixed or put back into place in like a visit or two visits?

There’s nothing wrong with either one.

It’s just getting to know really what you’re looking for.

Another thing to know about yourself is, what type of adjustment do you like?

Do you like more forceful adjustments, manipulations, or more gentle types of adjustments that are more like contacts along your spine?

Do you like to have just an instrument or prefer hands?

Those are all things to think about.

Maybe you don’t have experience with any of that.

You’ve never seen a chiropractor.

I would just encourage you to go in the direction that interests you most.

Another thing is what is the environment like at the office?

Is it like an out kind of hustle, which is fine?

Some people love, they just want in and out, right?

Do you like something that’s more like calming, easygoing, relaxing, kind of ground?

Those are all different things to think about.

Another thing is what kind of health problems do you have, and are you looking to have been addressed?

Some chiropractors focus on complex health issues and wellbeing issues, and chiropractors focus more on just pain issues or back issues.

A little bit more about our office, and I want everyone to know these things before they come in is we are comprehensive and we do look at your overall body and how it’s functioning, how well you’re able to adapt to stress, and make sure that nothing is underlying going on that’s impacting your health and wellbeing.

Another thing about our office is our adjustments are all done by hand.

They’re very gentle. They’re not manipulation type of adjustments. It’s very easy-going in my office.

It’s not quick in and out, but our adjustments are very efficient in less than 15 minutes.

I hope that helps you determine what kind of chiropractor would be a good fit.

I encourage you to move more towards what your interests are and what your goals are and make sure that the chiropractor you’re looking for is matching up with all those goals that you have.
